Your own infection control policy already sets the standard for treatment rooms, and that is not something a cleaning company decides for you. What we get asked about is everything around it — reception, waiting rooms, staff areas — and how often that genuinely needs attention.
It depends on footfall, not floor size
A small practice seeing thirty patients a day and a larger one seeing over a hundred need very different schedules, even if the buildings are a similar size. Footfall through reception and the waiting room is what drives how quickly a space looks tired, not square footage.
What is realistic at each frequency
Roughly how practices tend to land on a schedule:
- •Daily — busy practices, or anywhere with a lot of patients passing through reception each day
- •Several times a week — most mid-sized practices, enough to stay ahead of general wear without daily cost
- •Weekly — smaller or lower-footfall practices, sometimes topped up with the practice’s own team in between
What we clean, and what stays with your own protocol
We clean reception, the waiting area, toilets, staff areas and general non-clinical floors and surfaces, on whichever of the schedules above fits your practice. Treatment-room clinical decontamination is not something we take on — that stays with your own in-house protocol or specialist provider, and we work around it rather than in place of it.
Getting a fair quote
The same principle applies here as with any commercial premises — we visit first, look at the actual space and footfall, and quote a fixed price for the frequency that makes sense, rather than pricing blind off a rate card.
